How SaidBase handles data
Last updated: 2026-08-23
SaidBase (saidbase.com) helps SaaS founders understand why customers cancel. This page explains what we collect and why, in plain language.
What we collect
- Account data — your email address, via Supabase Auth, when you sign up.
- Cancellation survey responses — the reason and free-text answer a customer submits when they cancel through your survey link.
- Billing data — handled by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
How it's used
Free-text cancellation answers are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to be sorted into a category (like "Too expensive" or "Missing features") and, on paid plans, summarized into a weekly brief. Per Anthropic's standard API terms, API inputs are not used to train models.
Data isolation
Every cancellation record is protected by row-level security in our database — only the account it belongs to can ever read it. We do not share cancellation data across customer accounts.
Retention
Free accounts retain the most recent 20 cancellations. Paid accounts retain full history for as long as the account is active. You can request deletion of your account and its data at any time by contacting us below.
Third parties
We use Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (billing), Anthropic (AI categorization), and Fly.io (hosting) to run SaidBase. We do not sell your data or your customers' data to anyone.
